We have just released two new tunes, available on all major platforms:
Eleanore Plucknett, a tune by the blind harper Turlaugh O’Carolan, composed in the 1700s. We play it in a quite unusual manner as the main melody instrument is dobro, better known from bluegrass.
The second tune is maybe even more uncommon, a couple of Nordic polska dances. The first one, played on Irish bouzouki, has a pequrliar melody changing between major and minor almost in every new bar. The second polska introduces the uilleann pipes and violin in the melody.
We are very lucky to have a guest musician in the second polska – Espen Olsen on violin. Espen really brings the Nordic feel to the tune! Thanks, Espen!
